About Us

Sara Pe, owner

Licensed Massage Therapist, Esthetician & Nail Technician

About Sara

16 years ago, back in 2005, I had the brilliant idea of becoming a massage therapist for "just a little while" so I could make some extra money to put myself through nursing school.  I wanted a career that would allow me to help others feel their best.  Along the first few years of my journey as a licensed massage therapist, as I took some college courses here and there, I realized that I didn't need to be anything other than what I already was; providing massage was my way of helping others.  With so much competition in the field, I knew I had to be the very best if I wanted to succeed and I never lost sight of that.  Since then, I have added two more professional licenses to my name as an esthetician and a nail technician.  This has allowed me to add the variety and uniqueness to my services that my clients are so fond of.  My clients are like family to me, and I appreciate, respect and care for every one of them.  After all, I wouldn't be where I am without all of their loving support, encouragement and their grandmother-style boasting!

The Man (and Doggies!) Next to the Woman

In April of 2013, I very hestitantly agreed to a first date with the man who would ultimately become my incredible husband.  Marco has loved me, supported me, and believed in me since the very beginning, giving me the courage I needed to grow my private practice into something much bigger.  Marco and I got married in 2017, giving me rights to a last name that Spa TheraPe would not exist without (thanks, hubby!)  We have two beautiful little soulmates, Roxy and Lucy, who make sure we get plenty of exercise, love and snuggles daily.  I am so grateful for my amazing family and all the ways they make me smile and laugh each day.

Welcome Baby Pe!  Meet Xander Raymond

March 25, 2021 we welcomed baby Xander to our family!

Meet Ashley Finch,  Jikiden Reiki Practitioner & Licensed Nail Technician

"Hello!  My name is Ashley and I am a Certified Jikiden Reiki Practitioner and Licensed Nail Technician.  I am also wife to my best friend, step mom to two amazing children, and "mom" to three beautiful kitties.

I have always loved art (especially painting), and have always wanted it to be a part of my life in one way or another.  I had never considered going to nail school, but I had always loved painting my own nails.  My lovely friend, Sara, suggested I get my license and come work with her.  I was hesitant, but I loved art and I really wanted to paint, and was excited at the thought of working with her again.  Once I graduated and started working with Sara at a spa, I learned there was a whole therapeutic side I never knew existed.  While working on the nails and bringing them to optimal health is the main focus of the services, I learned the other areas of the service were just as important.  I could focus more on things like massage techniques and scrubs to help the skin, hands, and feet feel better and improve, as well as aromatherapy and reflexology.  I realized this therapeutic side was an art in itself.  I was actually helping people with something other than making their nails look nice, and was drawn to it.  I loved it.

Flash forward a few years and I started expanding my tool belt with ways to help others.  Along my journey I met a new friend, Leigh Ann Mills at Love and Light with Leigh, who introduced me to Jikiden Reiki.  I was instantly hooked and knew I needed to learn this method of energy healing and share it with everyone.  Shortly after speaking with her about it I signed up for and studied in the Shoden and Okuden classes with her and Kim Miller (which was an absolute blast by the way), and received my certification to become a Jikiden Reiki practitioner.

It is my goal to share everything I've learned, and will learn in the future, with others to help them heal and improve their lives in anyway I can.  I recently left my office job of 12 years to take a leap of faith into this beautiful opportunity to do just that.  Now  I dedicate my time to myself as I continue to grow, to this practice, and to learning as much as I can so I may have a variety of offerings for everyone I encounter.  Helping spread that love and light to make the world a little brighter!"

Meet Jessica Totengco,

Licensed Massage Therapist & Esthetician

"Hi!  My name is Jessica and I'm a licensed massage therapist.  I have two adorable little munchkins, Mia and Jonah.  They're the reason why I got into massage therapy.  I wanted to pursue a career that would help me provide for my family and still have the flexibility to have time for them.  I also wanted to continue to fulfill my passion in helping others.

I was a caregiver for the elderly for 6 years, and it brought me joy to be able to help - even if that meant just being there for them.  I loved being a caregiver, but it didn't allow me to fulfill what I needed to at home.  Becoming a massage therapist gave me the best of both worlds.

I can't wait to get to work with all the lovely people that I'll get to meet through this career!  Let's achieve together a healthier mind and body through massage.  Don't worry, I've got your back... literally!"

Meet Janet Gray, Licensed Massage Therapist

Hi my name is Janet Gray and I am a licensed massage therapist and bodyworker. I have been a massage therapist since 2009 and could not have asked for a more rewarding profession. Even after over a decade of work as a massage therapist the joy I get from making people feel better hasn’t gotten old. I enjoy the following modalities the most: trigger/tender point therapy, myofascial work and deep pressure massage. I truly believe that if everyone in the world would get massages regularly, we would live in a happier world. Be part of the happier world initiative and get a massage with me!

Meet Amy Soland, Licensed Massage Therapist & Certified Yoga Instructor

Hey! My name is Amy, I’m a certified yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist. I found yoga in high school after struggling with back issues that had me in and out of physical therapy. Once I found a steady yoga practice, my chronic back pain didn’t return (and still hasn’t!) That experience- along with the countless other benefits I felt- had me hooked! But something I began to notice was that a lot of people I spoke to about yoga felt a lot of intimidation by the practice. “I’m not flexible”, or “I have no idea what I’m doing” were things I heard far too often. My personal experiences told me that yoga was for everyone, every BODY. Strength, flexibility, and agility don’t matter-- there is a modification for every body type and there is so much more to yoga beyond the physical element-- so it was disheartening to realize that so many people were put off before they even got started. This lit the fire in me to become a teacher. I completed my certification program in California in 2012 and have continued my education between Chicago and Hawaii. My goal is to honor the history of the practice, help cultivate inclusivity in the yoga community and leave my students feeling empowered and inspired by all the ways yoga can enrich their life and meet them wherever they are.

Fast forward to 2019! I met Sara when I was hired to teach yoga at the spa. We would talk a lot about massage therapy as I’d noticed the many ways yoga and massage complement each other. Of course, Sara was so supportive and encouraged me to follow through with the licensing program. The pandemic slowed things down for me, but I finally completed school in 2021 and have been practicing ever since! I already find the practice so fascinating and rewarding and I look forward to continuing to build my skills and knowledge. I’ve truly had some of the best mentors in the industry between Sara, Jessica and Janet, and am so grateful to be a part of such a truly caring team.

Meet Kim Baker, Licensed Esthetician

“Hi there! My name is Kim, and I am a Licensed Esthetician. The part of working in this field that I enjoy most is that it gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients to help them look and feel their best. Having been a social worker for many years before changing careers (long story), it makes my heart happy seeing clients make time for themselves. Self-care is so important!

I have been married to my husband, Kyle, since 1996. We met on our first day of freshman year at Purdue University, and we’ve been together ever since. We are still huge Purdue fans and love going back to campus to watch football games – Go Boilermakers!

I am the lucky mom of two amazing kids, Preston and Jillian. Some of my favorite ‘mom moments’ have been spent in the car talking, in the kitchen cracking jokes, or on the couch watching movies.

I look forward to seeing you at Spa TheraPe!

Meet Jessi Ruiz, Licensed Nail Technician

Hi, my name is Jessica (also known as Jessi) and I am a licensed nail technician. Growing up, beauty has always been a passion for me. We all know the amazing feeling during/after self care time. Nothing beats that feeling! I enrolled in cosmetology school in 2019 (my senior year of highschool), to then find out my true passion was for nails. I switched over to nail school and finished Sept 2022. I love how being a nail technician comes with the advantage of being able to be as creative as you’d like. The most heartwarming part is getting to meet new people and seeing them leave with confidence after their service. I'm so excited for my new journey at Spa TheraPe! Can't wait to meet you!
